the relier
the relier is a 2-seater bench, designed to meet users need as an outdoor furniture. "relier" means having to join or link up to was constructed and proportioned from plywood, with clean cuttings and perfectly fitted wood joints that connect all pieces together.

inspired by DIVIS bench (Mike & Maaike) work, my partner and I revised on our research and started sketching out ideas towards our final design.

we used 3D software such as Rhino to better understand the exact measurements of each and every joinery that is required to be constructed.
the relier was constructed using only 2 planks of plywood,
(2400 x 300mm) for 1 bench.

Utilizing a maximum of 2 planks of 15mm thickness plywood (2400mm x 300mm), to build 1 bench. In addition, no adhesive were used, only joinery to piece and connect the bench together.
for full scale prototyping, we used styrofoam in reference to our 3D software scale model before we excute on the actual material.
